The Managing Director, Edo State Investment Promotion Office (ESIPO), the Ease of Doing Business Secretariat, Hon Amen Odigie has said ESIPO is committed to Facilitating collaborations with relevant stakeholders in line with Governor Monday Okpebholo’s vision to Achieving economic prosperity in Edo State.
Hon. Amen disclosed this while delivering a keynote address during the Edo State MSME Ecosystem Stakeholders Engagement held in Benin City recently
According to him, “Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the lifeblood of our economy. They create jobs, foster innovation, and drive economic prosperity. However, they do not operate in isolation – collaboration and sustainable innovation are key to their success,”
Hon. Amen further emphasized ESIPO’s commitment to bridging gaps within the ecosystem and ensuring sustainable business growth in line with Governor Okpebholo’s vision For the state..
Earlier, Mr Nosa Obayowana, GIZ State Coordinator; Josep Edom, BOI State Manager and Babafemi Oyediran, Head, E.E, Component SEDIN among others also gave their remarks with emphasis on the need for strong collaboration among stakeholders in driving the ecosystem.
A major highlight of the event which was organized by GIZ in collaboration with ESIPO, SMEDAN, NASSI was a presentation by Joel Edionwe, State Coordinator of the Edo State One-Stop-Investment Centre (ES-OSIC), titled “Enhancing MSME Development: The Ecosystem Approach.”
His session provided insights into best practices for strengthening MSMEs through strategic partnerships, capacity building, and policy support.
The engagement was highly interactive, with participants contributing their perspectives on how to address pressing issues within the MSME sector. Key discussions revolved around practical solutions for enhancing innovation, improving access to funding, and leveraging digital transformation to boost business sustainability.
